Sixteen participants were selected via purposive sampling, and the data were gathered through semi-structured interviews. The data analysis revealed that \u201cpremarital experiences in virtual space\u201d and \u201cchat as a remedy for loneliness\u201d create the causal conditions of romantic chat. Intervening conditions including \u201cunhappy marriage\u201d and \u201chusband\u2019s Sexual coldness\u201d facilitate the phenomenon. Contextual conditions, which provide the foundation for online romantic chat, are \u201cexperience of family restrictions\u201d and \u201csense of freedom\u201d. The present study is revealed that \u201cchat in husband\u2019s\u00ac absence\u201d, \u201cdisguise the fact of being married\u201d, \u201cavoiding face-to-face meetings\u201d, \u201ccybersex\u201d, and \u201conline entertainment\u201d are most common strategies used by participants. The consequences of digital romantic conversations for Muslim married women are \u201cchat addiction\u201d, and \u201cfeeling a sense of betrayal\u201d.
